Watchlist: Six AI companies you need to see in Vancouver
Meet a collection of businesses showcasing the burgeoning industry.
“No matter where I go, AI is there,” I told you earlier this year. AI is very much still there. It’s still dominating social feeds. It’s still a fixture on conference agendas. And, we have another sold-out event coming up this week. This one is an opportunity for up to 20 locals to showcase the AI projects they’re working on, and what they’ve learned while creating them. From automated website-builders to AI wellness coaching, here is a mini preview of some of them:
Artemis
Artemis’ mission is to allow anyone to work with data, regardless of their ability. The company helps businesses operationalize data in marketing, sales, finance, engineering, revenue operations, and more through an all-in-one platform. Artemis has recently released an AI tool that helps users accomplish tasks like building charts from natural-language questions, joining datasets from across a warehouse, writing complicated queries, and answering written questions about the data.
Go deeper: Josh Gray, the company’s co-founder, recently wrote about the large number of tools founders must sift through in order to find their ideal way to manage data.
Durable
Durable is building what the company says is the internet's fastest-growing AI website-builder, in addition to other AI-powered tools for small- and medium-sized businesses. Those tools include an AI copywriter that churns out smart copy, and an AI-powered photo database that hand- er… digitally-picks ideal photography for webpages.
